Giant Anthem 1 Stolen Cape Town

2008 Medium Blue and silver Giant Anthem was stolen off my Thule bike rack today. The car and bike were parked in a security garage in Claremont in full view of the security guards. I was working at a client, excited about hitting Tokai after work.

 

The bike was locked to the rack, which in turn was locked to the car. The bandits cut through a re-inforced steel chain which must have taken at least 15 minutes, as that is how long it would have taken me, and Im really strong...

 

So if you get offered an Anthem 1 in mint condition, ridden honestly 8 times with tubeless conversion Maxxis tyers, a polar bike mount and old cateye computer. Has giant rubber bar ends and a black plastic water bottle holder, give me a call / PM. I have 'marked' the bike so will know its mine.

 

There is a huge reward for the safe return of this bike, so keep your eyes peeled.

I know how you feel. My Sani partner and I had our bikes stolen on Sunday morning. Also Anthems!

1 security guard said "I was fixing a light in the basement so saw nothing"

 

The other said "yes, I saw two guys on bicycles leave the garage, funny only 1 came in on a bike"

 

 

Gotta love this country. I can only laugh, as I cant cry....

 

They said its the 3 rd bike to get stolen out the garage in 2 months. Man I feel for you guys that have had bikes stolen.

 

I now start the fight with the insurance guys..
