The best one day MTB ride in SA?

I would love to join a group planning to do Waterval Boven - it sounds amazing.

Forgot to mention Alpine Heath route. Don't think it is an official MTB route' date=' but the climb at one point is so damn nice and technical. I'll spend R3000 for a weekend just to go and do it again.[/quote']

Yeah, I would agree that Boven is awesome, but I am bias as a spend a fair bit of time there (mostly climbing).

 

 

 

The hospital ain't great and the couple of climbing related injuries that have occured there all get transported to Midmed an hour or so away.

Here's some rulles.

 

 It's got to be within 3 hrs drive from JHB.

 At least 1500m climb over at least 60 km.

 Nice view.

 Lots of singletrack.

 Some desent drops.

 

A Hospital close by.

 

Didn't you forgot a Bike Shop close by ??

You do run the risk of being robbed of your bike ANYWHERE in Gauteng !! Time to look further afield for your enjoyable rides !!

if you can get there THIS weekend, then there'd be a few people to show you around. We staying at tranquilitas, theres safe camping (and a climbing wall over the swimming pool).

if you can get there THIS weekend, then there'd be a few people to show you around. We staying at tranquilitas, theres safe camping (and a climbing wall over the swimming pool).
