The smile is actually a grimace as he was in pain. He looks far cleaner on the photo than he looked in real life.

Holding thumbs you haven't?broken anything. doubt it. am just feeling kinda lightheaded, and my neck and back are stiff now. arm is numb but moving. think the little spin i had while we were braaing loosened it up some. knee, elbow and hip are gonna burn in the bath, though
