roadrulesok Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 We live in Cape Town, we like to try and keep our city clean. It was still horrific to see how many riders who threw away their emty GU Satchets. Are they from up country or local. We love our city and we love our sport. Just a little consideration, we'd like to keep cycling a clean sport. Do not bother returning if you live like that in your own city.
Moab Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I agree!! Spotted and slammed (verbally) someone at the Funride World Champs. Rediculous that people do that. Nice thread.
Mutt Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Who takes on the taxis littering? I saw a pile of trash fly out of one this AM and it was not the first time. As far a trash on rides goes - keep it and ditch it at water points or the finish line.
Moab Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 At Argus I stopped at a water point and one of the volunteers actually offered to take my rubbish from me!! How amazing is that?
roadrulesok Posted March 16, 2009 Author Posted March 16, 2009 There is nobody taking them on on their driving skills (if any). Who will take them on when it comes to litter?
splat Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 It comes from a part of some cyclists brain that tells them its OK to ride 3 abreast, ride through red lights, flip off motorists and all that stuff. Its a sort of 'ph#ck off, I am racing' kind of mindset - perhaps add that to the options in your poll.
callmeK Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I think the manufacturers should work towards making the sachets 'bio-degradeble'.
