I recently had my Scott cooked on a truck on the way to CT smiley18.gif

I am now in the market for a new road bike and wanted some advice. I have short-listed three bikes.

1. Trek Madone 4.7C (2009) with ULTEGRA SL, BONTRAGER wheels, carbon bars, seatpost etc.

2. Specialized Roubaix (2008) with Full Ultegra, Easton SL60 and carbon bars and seatpost

3. Cannondale Supersix (2007) with Ultegra, shimano rims, Airone saddle etc.

All bikes carbon and brand new and Specialized and Trek will be about R34K and Cannondale will be about R5k more. Which would you get?

Browse the Hub...many bikes that might interest your fancy...

Why buy a 2007 'Dale? Get a 2009 one! Ask Spidey for his frame at good price and buy new group(Campag!!!)

Thanks GFishy but I want to get a new bike. The 07 Dale is brand new but an 07 model so back to my dilemmasmiley5.gif

On a similar topic, my GF also needs new wheels (her bike was also on the truck) and she wants to try and get a womens specific bike but wants full carbon and Ultegra. Seems only Scott has that but at R32k it is not cheap. Also looked at the Merida Scultura 905 in a Small as it is R10k less but can't seem to find stock anywhere - any ideas on where to get the Merida in stock (I have tried the agents) or other suggestions about alternatives? Originally looked at Raleigh's, but everyone in the trade we speak to had nothing good to say about Raleigh so now we have been put off them. smiley21.gif

Bike is a bike...

The person on it should be happy with it.

Raleigh woman specific bikes are good value for money.

Ultimately you spend the money, not the bikeshop so look around till you find something you like and fits the budget.
