BigToe Posted April 16, 2009 Share Just got mine...it is the business! will try and post some screen shots. The best thing is the sportstracker app on the phone and the kind of functions you can track and workouts you can upload.

Bellscycling Posted April 16, 2009 Share You can install the sportstracker on most nokia phones that are gps enabled just go to http://sportstracker.nokia.com/ to download the software. The only downside is that you must always go online to see your training files.
Thinkbeeg Posted April 16, 2009 Share Dyou have the N79 Active (that includes a polar heart rate monitor) or do you have a GPS enabled Nokia with sportstracker installed? If you have the N79 Active, then where did you buy it? I am trying to get my hands on one as well. And do you use a bike mount for your phone? BigToe Posted April 16, 2009 Share Hi, yes its the N79 Active with all the bells. Although I think I stuffed up thinking the sports tracker was pre-installed on the memory card, but had to download it.All easy to set up and configure and pair with the polar belt. Used it for the firts time yesterday and the app is what makes it. The level of tracking is awesome and the GPS is very accurate.I am keen to get the bike mount - the arm band came in the box with the phone, but not the best place to have it in my opinion. This is a demo model by the way - not sure if they are on the market yet - should be in the next month or so... Guest Agteros Posted April 16, 2009 Share What is the battery life on the N79 Active with the GPS running? My N95 dies at between 3 and 4 hours of tracking...
ADFunk Posted April 16, 2009 Share Installed Sportstracker on my E71 and was helluva chuffed with it until it started crashing after the first 1/2hr. Installed latest versions but still no luck. Any advice..?
BigToe Posted April 17, 2009 Share Hi, ya that is going to b the biggest challenge - battery life. I charged it for the 1st time 2 days ago and did a session just after that for about 40 minutes. Killed the GPS and app afterwards but left the phone on and the next morning it beeped low batterty. So key thing is to kill any data related stuff when not using it - specially bluetooth. Another consideration is if you get push mail to your phone, make sure you have delayed synch's every 15 or 30 min otherwise it will kill the battery. CheersPS what is the latest version of Sportstracker that you donwloaded want to check it Ciclismo2009-04-17 03:11:
BigToe Posted April 17, 2009 Share Only advice I can offer is make sure there are no other app's running coz it sounds like there may be a conflict somewhere...
ADFunk Posted April 17, 2009 Share not sure about the version but only upgrade was to resolve the very issue that i seem to be having. haven't considered battery life and other apps. Will give it a go this weekend and let you know.
rory21 Posted April 17, 2009 Share get a ipod, polar hr monitor and an e55. all problems sorted. why on earth would you want all 3 in one?
Weight Weenie Posted April 17, 2009 Share My only gripe is that living in RSA, mounting an item such as a cell phone on you bar for all too see is maybe not such a good idea if you value your life and equipment?
BigToe Posted April 17, 2009 Share Agreed, but truth be told. the S725x costs close to the phone and they are typically mounted on the bike aswell....sad state of affairs! Ciclismo2009-04-17 09:29:
