Have a 26.8 seatpost that needs to go into a 27.2 frame. So 0.2 mm space all round. The thickest shim stock that can be sourced form my mates engineering place is 0.13mm, and not sure this can be machined... any ideas?

0.13mm is smaller than 0.2mm. Machining that wont help.

Might be better to get a new post (if your's isnt fancy/expansive). Adding a shim to the post could cause the frame to flex where it shouldn't and cause a crack. Seen it happen before.

I meant getting one machined separately, as opposed to using shim stock.

Beverage cans are apparently 0.3 minimum
