Bike Computer replacement

My trusty old Beta 2 decided to go into prem retirement. All I need is something with a nice big font that will give me the basics such as speed, distance, ave speed, blah blah blah. I dont want to spend more than R500 if possible. if you give your view then just make sure you can also tell me the merits or demerits and wire or wireless units please. Anyone know anything about VDO (whatever that is) as I can get that for R280.

 

PS Has to be hardy as it is for the MTB.

I've got a Sigma cordless. It has very big digits and easy to use. After discount it was R499. Got it from Westdene. The only problem it is white. But I was not complaining at that price.

If you can try get a wirless one, i find the wired one's often go faulty especially on a MTB.

I had a VDO HC 12.6. Very, very nice. Popped off its holder going down Cedar Road at spoed! Doing without anything at the moment waiting for my replacement!!! Where can you get yours, what model...!

Not sure of the model but it is from Penford Cycles in Uitenhage.........will call them and let you know.

VDO A4......looks as tho it is wired. Has basic functions, speed, distance, trip distance, and clock. Not sure if it has any other functions tho. still very
