Ok, so there are advantages to commuting between JHB & Cape Town. Thx to the hubbers who sold and who bought from me which helped me build up and obtain the following at affordable prices:

 

My Cape Town Bike:

 

 

My JHB bike (thx a mil for the frame GO2):

 

 

Next project is to complete the Commencal MTB  (oh yes ... and to start riding these beauties )

 

Oh yes forgot.. my apologies for not setting the cranks to the correct photogenic position but will rectify that later .... maybe ...

Hah! Racman I feel your pain. Tried living in Jnb and Ct at the same time in 06-07. Was lekke but hectic kept missing planes scheduling meetings in one town when I was in the other. And had bikes in both locations, some oke on the plane asked me the one day what was in my Giro box. 'Helmet' I explained, and mentioned bikes in each location. He shook his head and said 'why not a helmet in each location'.

 

I think it may have been then that I realised I don' have the machinery to cope with the logistics of the situation.

Fortunately I won a helmet in the Hub TdF competition so that resides in JHB.

 

Flight delays can be a serious pain - had one weekend when I spent 14 hours at the airport to spend 36 hours in CT !!!

Coming home next weekend Skye and the weather is sunny (for now) in JHB.

Extending the seattube I believe as in below (although it is slightly out and should have been a straight line extension I'm told. I moved it when I was setting the wheel logos in sync and didn't notice until later)
