On my road bike when I hold my front brake and rock my weight foward the fork seems to move slightly back and forth where it meets the headset. How do I fix this? Thanks guys!

Undo your stem bolts that hold the stem to the steerer. Tighten the top bolt that goes into your steerer. Not too much, just a quarter turn at a time. Check if it still rocks and repeat tightening the top tube. Also lift the front end to make sure it still turns smoothly. Then tighten the stem bolts to the correct torque setting as per manufacturers specifications.

first undo the ones on the far left that holds the stem to the fork. Then the one inbetween the "scott" writing. You will have to check the torque setting on that stem before overtightening the steerer bolts.

I've tried tinkering with the one between the scott writing, but am worried about doing it too tight. Will give it another bash. So thats all I need to do mampara, get the bolt the right tension? I don't have a worn headset or anything?

Yip, manfrog is spot on. but if you leave it unchecked for too long, you will have a worn headset and a worn fork crown.

nothing will happen if the stem bolts are still tightened. Just give the top one a bit of a turn as you feel for play.
