Bored Girl you going to do Knysna this year?

I think the entries are reasonable. Any way the race is during school holidays. Stay there for a week or two and enjoy the area. And the Oysters.

Last year we stayed for a week in Mosselbay and did the race. Would have done it again this year but due to changing jobs caan't get leave.

Will be back next year.

Yeah we're doing it. Driving down this year

Hey the race entry is reasonable when paying for one person .... start adding on the wife and two kids then becomes flippen expensive. Never mind the rip off admin fee of R31 per entry

I will go to knysna with my cycling buddies, buy a R30 forest permit, ride well away from the race route. On the day of the road race I will do the same, maybe in a differebt area.  I suspect I will have more fun than those racing.

I voted with my wallet 94,7 time and it was great.  Probably do the same come next Argus & all the other well sponsored but nonetheless very expensive events.

Yes I am sure it piles on but it's going to be the same for any race if your whole family races. You also have possibly 4 x 2 bikes to equip compared to my 2, but that just something you gotta do. What I am saying is that their race fee especially for the MTB isn't bad compared to other races and the area is just great....

I have just been to enter my wife and I for the MTB and Road race at the  Rotary Knysna Cycle Tour. Total cost would be around R750' date=' which is flippen crazy. What do these guys think we are ... idiots to pay this sort of rip off fee .... [/quote']

The route has changed....it heads out to Plett now.  The route has changed again this year, instead of doing the Wittedrift hill, you will just continue on the highway until the Crags and then do a u turn and head on back to knysna into the wind.

Oh, Okay, that small road coming into Knysna was a no/no, very dangerous.

I can remember literally riding "serpentine" like weaving between the cars all backed up on the road.!

one thing to consider is the first part of the race's name: rotary.

then add the second : pick 'n pay

it's actually the first. the full title is the pick n pay weekend argus rotary cycle tour. here's where some of your entry money goes:

usual trivia: the retailer dropped the apostrophe at its last rebranding.

Dead note to self - on mondays' morning's ask HR what side of the bed he got out of, and if he bumped into mr Jagwil on his early morning training pedal.
