Riding is good and at least it is on dirt roads. This time of the year (Citrus Season) all the roads are very busy.....We do have the Zuurberg mountain to train with lots of uphills and downhills. BUT nothing can prepare one for the Baviaans ( Road surface wise) Where do you cycle?

Only started 8 months ago, been up and down Baakens vallet but mostly got some road time in and did a couple of fun rides. EP Herald 42, Tsitsikamma 45, Baviaans 45 and Homtini 30.

Well I drove the sweep vehicle today and it was not pretty. Before I arrived at the first water point I saw JLA on his way back already and he said it was crazy muddy and was not prepared to mess up his bike. At least 60% of the field must of turned back.

Anyway it was fun to do some offroading in my van skidding all over the place. Some of the back markers in the 45 kay hadn't even reached the half way mark by 12 o'clock really crazy. Now I know why I volunteered to do sweep vehicle!!!! MUDAngry

The only people that smark this race is the bike shops!!!!

Had one really bad faller posible broken/fractured elbow. Medics on duty not really that great.Unhappy

This race is going to get a really bad REP. Me for one will never do this race if it starts raining.

Unfortunately already washed my car or else would of posted a pic. Hope there are some pics of the really dirty riders and bikes that will be posted.

Wise ASSLOL Terry you did not miss anything and best of all you don't need to replace your whole drive train. JG said after WAP'ing his bike yeasterday it needs a clean again today. He may as well strip the thing down. That red shyte is not nice. Taking my van for a valet later on.
