another interesting thing is that your numberplate has to be attached to your car, motorbike with bolts and velcro etc is not legal either....so even if you put a temp solution they can and will fine you as they have nothing better to do

I like to have my number plate obscured so that I can jump red traffic lights. Wink Actualy I got pulled over about 5 years ago, recieved a warning and got a plate for the rack. The only real way to go is to get a rack with lights and a place for a plate otherwise your lights are also obscured.

I agree that it is damn irritating that the cops target petty offences and soft targets and let the taxi's and other unroadworthy vehicles get away with murder, but its probably so that the cops can get reach their targets and bank the fines without hassles.

They can even fine you if your lights are obscured..... with a tandem it normally is..... and that is dangerous. Geoff carrier threw me a toffee when I asked why they do not make a number plate holder with lights. I eventually bought a number plate holder form Holdfast. I also got stickers form Holdfast and put it on the Geoff carrier and sent pictures to Geoff to show them what I think of their non-accommodating  attitude. Geoff carries are are by Hanler products.
