Iwan Kemp Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 MTB lid will be lighter and you get some with plenty vents. No reason not to use your motorcross helmet though. Should offer better protection anyway.

KDEE Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 With my kids helmets, there is zero diff in weight between their motorcycle helmets and their Bmx full face helmets ( Giro and Bell ). But the diff in ventilation is large.. ( Like all kids, they ride ALL the time, never can get them to stop long enough, so they need the ventilation ) Down hill is few minutes of intense action, ventilation shouldnt be an issue if you are wearing a Motorcycle helmet..
