I must compliment the organizers on an awesome race with some very nice single track.

Daardie laaste 10km was tough, was nog in tyd vir 'n 3:30 op 50 km  maar het heeeelwat langer gevat as wat ek wou ry . Baie goeie roete gewees

What single-track? The only part I can remember is before and after the river crossing and then near the "natural rock cave". Both of these were log-jammed because the field had not spread out enough yet.

I agree that it was well organised though.

Last 10km was hell.

Awesome race!! Thanks to organizers for a great day out.  The wooden bridges were awesome! Just wondering why they couldnt make a plan at the water crossing down in the valley? Apart from that very nice and rideable race.  As mentioned last 10km was faakin tough.  But came in 4 minutes quicker than my planned time so yeah!

How fun/flipn scary was that looooong fast downhill with the speedhumps??!!!Confused  I jumped the first two like a 13year old and yelled 'weeee'.  The after like the 10th one I just saw myself eating dirt and calmed down!

I had a most enjoyable race . Thank you  to the organizers an sponsors for giving us the opportunity to explore these scenic areas !<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I am so tired about complaining... but something is very mixed with the 60km ladies results.

242 5 17 03:25:35 31 Botha Laetitia F 60 Senior F 17.51

Laetitia Botha did win it right? ( And as far as I know in was a spectacular time too) During prize giving how come she  won overall but missed out on her category win ?

Did they successfully subtract the additional 10min for people who started in Batch B ?

Decided to enter on Friday rather than doing a training ride, good decision.  Entered the 60km at the start, enjoyable route, lovely area. Guess 2 batches at the start sort of helped but they are probably going to have to do better seeding / smaller batches if the mid field is not going to experience congestion.

Did the lady who is listed as 11th overall, 9 minutes behind Philip Buys actually do the 60 or did she do the 30 and it hasn't been picked up by the timers / race officials? Impressive ride if she did the 60.

The race was great  - except for that little IDIOT on the yellow 4 wheeler with the girl and camera on the back. On the first strech of gravel road he came flying past me and made so much dust, I had to slow down cause I couldn't see a thing!

Justice was however served when a little bit further on he had to stop and was swearing at the side of the road. As I flew by I saw a rusted fence wire completely tangeled around his rear axel!

Hahahahahahahahahaha!

Anyway, I finished 8th in the 30. Still working on getting some base training done for the longer distances...
