i will use them like this.

 

every 1 hr in training at a 70% of max constant effort

 

Once you go up to 80% constant effort you should do it every 45min

 

and then at 90% and above you go every 30min

 

This is for whasp gels as we are bigger if you using smaller gels like GU or powerbar i would suggest every 40min at 70%, 30min at 80% and 20min at 90%

 

Raynard takes around 22 gels in a ironman because they are smaller.

Holy Sh*t!

 

That is a lot! I only take 1 per 50min - hour at 80-95% and never during training, unless I am taking serious enemy fire!
