Chain jumping off rear mech

Heyall, especially Mr Borman

 

I recently started having trouble with my rear mech, whereby the chain jumps off the 1st pulley closest to the casette. Happens during during a fast but very bumping DH session. No where else does it jump off, hence me asking for guidance as to what the issue could be.?
Mech is not bent in an obvious way. LBS didnt notice anything either when I took the mech in to be adjusted after they sorta botched the install.

Not too long now, but I have this feeling a few unexpected purchases for broken kit is gonna kybosh my plans Also, I still need to order my Rockshox Vivid 5.1 But that was already on the cards. But dont matter if I dont get the Boxxer in short order as I have a very capable Marzocchi in the interim. ?

X.7 rear mech (sourced from matchstix a few months ago) coupled to an X.9 shifter. (again from matchstix. MS: u know where to send the advertising costs )

Yep, going for the middle one. I cant splash out R15k just yet, as there are other bits and bobs I need to buy to get the frame complete. If I think about it, it's only 3 items, but they all big ticket items: chain device (E-13 LG1+), rear shock (Rockshox Vivid 5.1), cranks and pedals (Truvativ Holzfeller).

 

When you do you think you will be able to source yours? btw: you hanging out at Tokai of late? I could do with a riding partner. My previous one performed some aerial acrobatics that resulted in him spear tackling himself into the ground after a slightly misstimed jump.

ow is he all right. I ride tokai with the riding group at my school we get there at around 4 and ride for 2hours. What bike are you building could you post a pic?

I would rather go for a the el douro cranks as just as strong bb stronger and I think slightly lighter and way cheaper

I already bought the ?Truvativ Howizter BB in the last cape town CRC order. New bash plate too. So i'm pretty much committed.

As for me buddy, yeah: he is oh k. But I think he lost his nerve somewhat. he fell pretty hard. Knocked himself out cold. I thought he was dead when I saw his body go all limp. All sorts of sh*t runs through you mind in that split second before you react. Anyways, turned out to be nothing really major, just a cracked elbow, but he is out for at least 3 months.

I broke my ribs and sternum. 2 months later, back in the saddle. Still a bit tender on the injury. Actually fell at Tokai. Did that section like thrice on sun just to get it out of my system. Realized afterward it never really bothered me.

It el toro sorry check it out on CRC to me the elbow is the worst to braek as I smashed my left elbow into 5 bits and it is now hold together with 2 plates 5 screws and 6 pins still can't bend it. Also went back to the place I fell and did it over like 3 times. what jump was he doing?

jeez dude. that sounds hectic. How you fall and where?

 

he was doing a jump at the bottom of the first half of majik. There are two jumps at that section before the bridge. He had a hardtail: rear wheel clipped the 2nd camelback of the first jump. He had some nasty kick back and it thru him over the bars. Landed on his head and shoulder: a perfect spear tackle that would've given Brian O'Driscoll nasty flashbacks.

sho wow mine wasn't as intense as that I was on a  friends bike and the brakes were on the wrong sides and I wa coming up to a drop just down the road from my house and last minute I desided not to drop it stupid mistake pulled the brake thinking it was the back and over the handle bars!
