My first Suntour lasted about a year. The second one lasted about 3 months. Can't recommend them, and I doubt I'll ever use one again.

Should be listed as follows in the English Dictionary:

Suntour - heavily weighted object located on the front of entry level moutain bikes. Occasionally compresses under extreme load (sometimes incorrectly classed as a suspension fork).

 

Seriously though I think they still have a little sticker on them saying they should be used for any extreme activity.

I have a Suntour XCR fork on my bike. So does Bored Girl.

 

 

 

Don't buy them if you're a weight weenie, that's for sure :)

 

 

 

But I don't think the comments about performance are entirely warranted. I've put mine through its paces on some rough terrain and it still works. Adjustability is just about zero. But I'm happy with the spring and the remote lockout works very well. I've never been able to bottom it out.

 

 

 

It's also the easiest fork in the world to service. I can't see myself upgrading any time soon.
