Milk - the ultimate sports drink

One thing that I have noticed since I started cycling (since March this year) is that I crave milk. I suffer from asthma and have to avoid most wheat products and as a result milk was always the no-no for me.

Use to give me serious phlegm.

Now, no problems.

One thing I do admit is that when you lead an active lifestyle your diet changes radically from an in-active couch potato lifestyle.

It's a lekker source of calcium, high in natural protiens and tastes good to boot! Plus, if you have a lekker stekkie it's a bit more fun to drink ;-P

I agree, Mr. Brunsdon - really does change. Haven't had KFSEE or Steers for a while now - but I make my own burgers & pizza, so i pretty much know exactly what goes in!

As for appetite - if you want to see a man eat, watch Donkey. Damn, that dude can CHOW!

A dietician gave me the same chocolate milk advice a few months ago...

Simple, cheap, effective, natural, healthy.... what more can you ask for? except for lactate tolerance?
