Having fun with a single speed experiment with the Daccordi. Thanks to Morpheus for this frame:

I was in Noordhoek with my Master the other day (makes it sound a bit like an S&M thread), and all the guys with carbon bikes were stopping to perve. It's a good feeling. The neo-retro looks lean, mean, and "don't **** with me".

Just for mazeltov, I thought I'd post these pics. I was looking up the Bowden as the freakiest but lovely bike. 'Twas designed in 1946 and originally built in aluminium, then went into production in 1960 as a fibreglass edition. Only about 500 were made. It had shaft-drive, with lights and hooter powered by D-batteries. They go for upwards of $25 000 now.

The second is from www.bicyclemuseum.com. Mainly American bikes, but some interesting facts - like a titanium bike from 1972. This one is an 1897 Elliot Hickory, all built of ... well, hickory.

Hey guys.

I was given an old, yellow steel bike. It's called a ZINI... Now I'm young and have zero experience with retro stuff, but the slot drop outs make it a great candidate to be a SS.

I took all the old shimano 600 and Corsa parts off and have donated what's usable, except the Corsa brake levers which I'm keeping.

Now, is there anything in particular I should know??

Is my fame anything special - I see it doesn't say anything about Columbus or any other special tubing on it... And the brand? Any pedigree?

Many thanks
