Cape Town - British Airways does not know whether flights leaving Cape Town and Johannesburg for London would be cancelled due to the severe weather conditions in the UK, said British Airways spokesperson for South Africa Stephen Forbes on Monday.

All flights from Heathrow have been cancelled until 17:00 (19:00 SA time), Forbes told News24 on Monday.

However, BA flight 043 departing from London for Cape Town has been cancelled. Flight BA 042 from Cape Town to London meant to depart on Tuesday morning has been cancelled.

He said that the British Airways website would have up-to-date information about all flights to and from London.

"The website should be the first point of contact because the call centre agents have the exact same information as the website. People should only call if they need information that cannot be found online," Forbes said.

Both runways at Heathrow Airport were closed. Public transport out of the airport was affected, leaving hundreds of people stranded at the terminals.

in the meantime, i highly recommend watching DirtTV's: Finally.?

Episode 1 and episode 2 have been released. It's a review of the World Cup DH season 2009 in review, and it's brilliant. Take a gander at Episode 2, and listen to Sam Hill's interview following his crash at Andorra.

realistically, i should have slowed down a little, but that's not how i do things
oh both my sacks! and to think he qualified first but ran three quarters of his qualifyin run without a chain! AAAAAAAAGHHH!! this boy is MILES ahead of anyone else. yes yes, i know someone's gonna throw the consistency question out there, and that is true. But it's a given that when you always running on the ragged edge, there is low to no margin for even the slightest error. As others run consistently within themselves(like watching kick and charge rugby very meh), Hill hits those limits. Andorra 2009, Val Di Sole 2008, Champery 2007.
