You cannot say any one is better than the other' date=' they all do their job perfectly (ignor the Shimano bashers, there is nothing wrong with it).

Obviously you have not ridden Shimano long enough to know they have sh*t after sale service / warranty.  Cry

Each to own I guess.......

We were rating the groupsets, not their after sales service.

I have not had an inch of trouble with my Shimano g/sets to warrant a claim, but I have dealt with Cool Heat on other issues and they are terrible.

I also wanted to upgrade groupsets, but gave up on the idea. I did put in a lot of research though and this is what I discovered.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Official imports bought through an accredited bike shop is just plain ridiculous. The only benefit is the warranty, but their prices are so high I was willing to take the chance.

For Campag stuff, Comobike was the cheapest. They are an online store, but their prices are all inclusive for SA, so no unexpected postage or tax extras. www.comobike.com

For  Sram Rival, Chain Reaction cycles were the cheapest (currently have awesome specials on Sram). Also an online store where postage, but not VAT is included. www.chainreactioncycles.com.

Sram Force is for sale at R8000.00 at Icycling. A give away price if you ask me. www.icycling.co.za

Chris Willemse is the cheapest for Shimano. R7 500 for the new Ultegra. www.cwcycles.co.za

Both of the above have good prices on Dura Ace too.

Also have a look at Totalcycling for Campag stuff. They're a similar setup to CRC and, depending on what the pound does, are often cheaper than Comobike. They also tend to be a lot cheaper on the older stuff.
