So I decided that XC is not for me.   I wanted a bike that I can ride over longer distances on, but could throw about for Sh1ts and Giggles (hence Shiggle).  So I put this little guy together.

 

It's actually a slopestyle frame, but I have built it to XC.  Should be a hoot.  Can't wait to ride her.

Couldn't bring myself to put a XC stem on it though.  They look thin and weak.

The XC stems aren't too bad, I'm running a 100mm on the Trials bike and it's holding. I think your bars will break before the stem will fail.
