I am really keen on getting a Trials Bike, get into a slightly different aspect of the sport.

Any one know if there any distributors for Trials bikes in SA?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah I have my eye on a Echo Control SL, http://www.echobike.com/bike26.html, at present I'm doing a fair amount of trials work on a kitted out old goose that I've sorta turned into a Trials rig. I aint in the market at the moment. Just started working/studying. Really keen on the Echo though. Also a really big fan of Danny Mackaskill.

Its allright hey, I mean its a decent rig and they are generally better priced than the Echos. That said I've heard a few stories, from mates in the UK, about the frames snapping. All in all in looks like a real decent bike. Definately something to consider.

Yeah I'm on FB some where, don't use it much as I prefer MSN. You can look me up though if you feel so inlcined. I think I have a link to the acc in my profile.

where you studying, are you specifically looking at the Echo or Zoo, does the seated trials bike not appeal to you at all.

I know the guy who brings in Zoo ill give him a call to see if he also brought in the echo

A bike has to have a seat! Get yourself a nice stock frame, stay away from that mod BS. Marinobike will build you a steel frame and fork for under $200, shipping from Peru may hurt, but you can get him to do custom geometry. Go for it!

I study privately, doing Marketing and Industrial Psych.  Not really into the seated trials rig hey. I'm really open to any brand I just really like the look of the Echo bikes, its also one of the few brands I'm really familiar with. Ervin Jacobs brings in Zoo and Echo through Cyclesport if I'm not much mistaken.

I don't know if I'd get a Mad Phase. Not that they're bad, but they're unknown. Then again, if the price is good, why not! Worst case scenario you'll ned to get a new frame a few months down the line.
