talking about "earth". Last week were the Miss Universe pageant and only women from earth took part. How specicist is that.

Ann Mustoe. Retired school head mistress who decided on retirement that a nice bike ride would be an interesting way to spend her time and who then, unsupported, circumnavigated the globe.

 

Unlike the many of the riders mentioned in this thread she had no one to idolize her, fix her bike, rub her legs or carry all her gear. She was forced to rely on her own strength of character and affable personality to get her through many difficult days. She did no drugs, never pulled any other cyclists into any barriers and never acted the spoilt prima donna.

 

She gets my vote.
