Years ago, young teenagers travelled from Johannesburg until they reached a place where they could find enough coal to make a big bush fire. They sat by the fire all night, with nothing to do, they did what all teenagers do...they went at it. This continued for years, until the landscape was covered with their...product. And hence the town was named witbank. (I wanted to think up a longer story but I lost focus) No Kansas, I was making a grappie...
