Advice on buying rudy projects

I'm looking at buying some rudy projects rydon's off the internet.

They have a great deal where you get some free lenses, bag etc.

I will be able to get 1 pair of lenses which is either photochromic, polarised or a combination of the two and one pair of normal lenses.

 

What type and colour of lenses should one get?

I ride mtb, road and will also be running with them.

 

Was thinking of getting the clear photochromics for those cloudy days.

Personally I have found having clear lenses great. Not only for the cloudy days but also for the night races.

Rudys are on my wish list and I would rather buy local, either from my optometrist who is a dealer or from CWC if I wanted to save cash.

I also prefer buying something like this local, but did you see the special they're having?

 

I tried on a rydon this weekend and it was a good fit. Can't remember the frame type though.

Will any of the rydon frames be good fit if that one was, as I usually struggle to find a good fit?

Personally I would buy from CWC. They are by faaaaaaaar the cheapest. Bought a pair of lenses from them not too long ago.

 

I have the Rydon's with both the photochromic clear lenses and the photochromatic polarized lenses. If you'd ask me - buy the lenses best suited to your activities. If you do a lot of early morning rides & trail rides under cover of trees then I would go for the photochromic clear lenses. They go from clear to relatively dark. If you do more road running and riding then I would settle for the photochromatic polarized jobs.

I have tried - eRudy do not ship to SA.  Best is to by from local guys - they have a promo where you get a free helmet, etc. also with frame sold.  See www.asgsport.co.za and look under "promotions".  Clear photochromic lens is by far the best!!!
