  1. e-Rudy only ships to USA addresses as far as I know...
  2. That's quite harsh - why not? And no I don't but like all their Italian brands...perhaps for all the wrong reasons??
  3. Similar shock design to Ellsworth? - very nice indeed!!
  4. Seen Bell, Giro, Specialised and Met mentioned here...want to throw another one in - Rudy Project and specifically the new Rudy Project Sterling helmet - best helmet I ever owned when I take the following into account. I do not see too many of these on the road and was wondering if any other Rudy helmet owners are happy with them too? Comfort (padding is out of this world with extra bug net and extra set of padding) - removable and washable Easy to adjust - dial on the back can be adjusted easily on your bike Lots of vents Weight: very light Crash Replacement Policy - 65% discount on RRP - you never know... Cool eyewear dock system - so simple but so useful!! Price - I paid approx R1600 incl I haven't crashed with it yet but it has 4 different safety certificates... 5. Just roll it in - have done the Lanseria / CTN loop with Kulula many times - no hassles. Just deflate tyres a bit and remove CO2 canister. Use some bubble rap to be safe. Got a nice SCICON bike bag for my MTB recently from Bruce Reyneke - works very well if you want to be 100% sure – just take wheels off (they have a special compartment and fasten bike to grid structure inside bag. I got the soft bag (Aerocomfort Plus) - there is a hard case as well that looked fantastic but was too pricy for my pocket / bike...
  6. ...extra smoke lenses are nice for driving your car (clear lenses are UV activated and your windscreen has a UV filter if it is not older than 2 decades )...
  7. You can't go wrong. There is a promotion at the moment on these where you get a Rydon with these photochromic clear lenses with extra set of smoke lenses (FOC) and extra Rudy Project helmet (also FOC) - it is promoted on www.buycycle.co.za (you can see more info on this at www.asgsport.co.za) Another option I looked at was the new Rudy Project SWIFT (see banner ad on the Hub) - it is being launched for R1290 incl (also with these same lenses) - again, look at www.asgsport.co.za (follow the "current ads and promos" link). Also check out www.bikewear.co.za for pricing on these models. Good luck.
  8. My 2c. Tubbies are great for racing, but a real pain in the arse for training (the other 99% of the time you are on your bike)... I way 95kg and got me some MOST (division of Pinarello) Charisma carbon wheels (you get a tubby or clincher model) - I went for the clincher. Some other nice wheels with technical specs on the MOST website...follow the MOST link on the www.asgsport.co.za website -> click on "MOST online catalogue" to have a look. Good luck!
  9. How Funny is this video??? http://www.asgsports.co.za/Rudy%20Project%20Project.html
  10. Can't really help - sorry!! What bike frame (make) is it?
  11. Send a mail to Heinrich@asgworld.co.za - this guy helped me under their "lens replacement guarantee" to replace my photchromic lenses at 60% off RRP (40%)...same as the helmet replacement guarantee Rudy Project offers (65% off RRP)...a lady from ASG (think it was Lizle) called me and it was sorted very quickly.
  12. Are you sure - where did you see the FP7? Couldn't find it on the Buycycle site?
  13. Where Bontie? Which model Pinarello. I shopped around - local prices on Pinarello was not bad compared to all web prices? Are you taking duties and VAT into account?? Local was even cheaper than CRC. Could get Pinarello Dogma frame locally - R44k incl ?
  14. I think Pinarello FP2 and FP3 framesets are a great option... was checking them out on www.asgsport.co.za a few days ago after following a link in Bicycling Mag for a competition where you can win a trip for 2 to the Giro 2011...
