Hey everyone,

 

Im trying to remove my Truvative Ruktion crank (howitzer interface).

 

so far ive just managed to undo the little allen-key screw cap, that goes on the side.

 

Please could someone explian how to remove the crank arm off the BB, I cannot fiqure it out at all. I have the park tool BB cup spanner and allen keys and a hammer.....please help!Cry

If there is another bolt behind "allen-key screw cap" which can be seen through the "cap", then it is of the self extracting type

If so, replace the "allen-key screw cap" and then undo the inner most allen screw. This will pull the crank off as you unscrew it.

Thanks mountian lion, have tried the site, no luck. ill be sending the bike in to LBS on monday, was just really wanting to fit the chain guide by tomorro's ride, oh well. thanks anywaySmile

After removing the allen key nut, the crank needs to be pulled off.

 

You need a tools (available from any LBS) such as:

You could also try to force it off using some  "boer maak 'n plan" approach...
