Tumbleweed Posted May 27, 2007 Share 9/11 - was one of the blondest days of my lifewas on the n12 on the way home and my brother phoned me to say a plane had just crashed into the world trade center. as a journo, i usually lug a camera about so, i took the east rand mall turnoff to the airport, cos i thought it was the world trade "centre" in kempton park by the airport and i'd be one of the first people on the scene. y'know the place - it's where ET and his band of boeties drove armoured cars thru the front window of the convention centre where they holding the codesa talks years ago. but even in 2001 it been closed and demolished and replaced by caesar's (now emperors) casino. doh!
