Merida vs Mongoose

I have a Mongoose Tyax Elite. Which will be better - to sell the bike and maybe buy n merida 40-d or upgrade it?

That's convoluted roadie logic, they just think like that.

Can't speak as to which is a better brand but you don't get much for second hand bikes so upgrading may be an option.
