Which one should I go for, XT or SLX?

Depends how much you're willing to pay for a 40g saving, how much you're paying, and which one looks better on your bike...

Cwcyles got the XT for R1699, they where out of stock on the SLX. So I wil go for the XT as it is R2700 in the shops arround here.

I'll go for the SLX. Its a beautiful crank and its pretty much on par with the XT.

Not a bad price, my SLX was about R1300 from CRC.

SLX looks much nicer than the XT

I'll go for the XT as they don't have stock on SLX and dont know when they are getting, they changed the price back on the web to the R1699 as it was back to R1999.
