I am so gatvol of my water bottles hoping out of their cages that I can *** myself! I currently use Rav-X cages and have endless "fall-outs" on rough trails, nothing extreme though. I like a dick replaced my previous Rav-X cages with another pair but same problem (I thought the may have weakened). I use Camel-Bak podium bottles, and getting half way down a hill and having to run back up to collect the bottles is murder, and if you know me you will know that riding/walking/running uphill is not my idea of fun. Please give me some reviews on your cages.

get yourself a camelbak .... for some reason they do not hop out off cages
I have one, but prefer bottles, I get too hot in the KZN humid summers to ride with one. Longer rides I do use it.

I also thought the Rav-X cages were the bees knees untill I kept on loosing bottles. I had old Specialized Rib cages that were indestructible and as a fool I sold it to get the Rav-X ones. I will try the Trek (spit) Bat cages next.

Try the X-Zakt cages. They cost R85, come in nice anodised colours and are alu, so you can squeeze them slightly to hold your bottles nice and tight.

Dunno which cage i have but i can say with the alu's one

i got two of them, The stuff(alum/metal-powder) rubs of !

After ride my bottle is covered with this fine mist of metal !. I am looking for plastic one !

I use Bontrager bottles and plastic bottle cages on my MTB and one of my road bikes. I've hit many bumps and potholes and not lost a bottle.

put some glad wrap on mouth piece of bottle  if not fond of mud, try to put some silicone(spelling) on the inside of the cages to try and prevent them from moving a lot Kansas2009-12-08 04:37:26
