Any ideas as to what Giant TCR Once is worth?

Hi,

 

New to cycling and looking to buy a road bike. I have been offered what I have been told is a 2007 (?) Giant TCR Team Once (Medium) with Tiagra 9 speed Groupset Carbon stem, neck and bars plus 2 carbon bottle holders and a bike computer for R9000. Is this worth it?

 

Did this bike come in a 2007 model as have not been able to find it on Giant archives. Bike is similar to picture below.

That is to much to pay for a 2007 bike. In the latest Bicycling Magazine you can get a Merida roadrace 901-18 for R6999,00.

 

That is a brand new bike.

Thanks. Since found out this is a 2003 frameset (Carbon) with Ortega Livestrong wheels. What do you think it is worth?

I'l give him 2-3k max. But then the bike must be in mint condition.

didn't once cease to exist back in 2004/5 and become liberty sequeros? and then astana. dunno if that's a 2007 frame. could be wrong though. just finished wrapping prezzies and my head hurts. chrappy histmas

An old carbon frame with entry level parts. I would say R4500 to R5000. He wants way too much. 2008 full carbon Raleighs with Tiagra are selling new for R9999. You can still pick them up.
