Another problem with riding 2 abreast is the danger it places a faster cyclist in when he passes you (it's not only about your safety)

So true that.

And no I am not saying swearing is the best thing to do' date=' but we've all done it at some stage when only given a few seconds to decide how to react...[/quote']

Agreed! Thumbs%20Up

like during the road races in the cape when in the faster groups passing the slower groups and some monkey decides to start shouting "Left! Left! Left we are racing here!"  as if he thinks this is the tour.  Have done some league in SV and those guys are killer.  Very little talk, very little bs, just legs to the f'ing road type of racing.  also raced in A group argus and other PPA events. And also raced in ZC. J, E, C, and every time i hear someone who thinks they are a pro who can shout at a lower seeded rider I just think "PRICK".  Sorry but don't be a wanker on a bike just love the ride and remember that not everybody is as super hot on a bike as you.  ( if you are the swearer otherwise thanks for the ride.)

Twice when there was no Monkey, the group just rides OVER the poor slow rider.

Also makes me think of those Angry Men on the last race I did - Oak Valley. I was in the long route bunch a fell behind, up comes the short route. First some kids and they where great.

They where all polite and many words of encouragement from them for me to keep going.

Along come the Angry bunch of yuppies on there weekend warrior rides. Swearing at me from a distance and that was on the Jeep tracks. Nearly floored one them and was hard not to loose my cool.
