Spent the day at Groenkloof with the family yesterday.

Did about 40km through the reserve. They introduced some extra single track against the Botha Ave fence. 2 new bridges with a lot of technical sections. Absolutely awesome!

Rest of non cyclists went on the 4x4 track.

Made some boerie rolls afterwards, had some cold ones.

Fantastic day!

Some pics...

Yeah, fortunately yesterday was quite. Some police were visible at fountains, but no issues.

All I heard at Groenkloof were the birds chirping and my tires churning mud!

was quite dry the day before, so the trails were nicely packed. just muddy in parts - like the cattle dip.

at this point i would like point out that markstockton is possibly the least helpful person when you find yourself in difficulty. i couldn't get out the other side of the "cattle dip", having being slowed down by the mud. he just chatted on while i struggled to get a foothold. only after i threw the bike out of the pit and scrambled over the ledge did he enquire as to whether i needed help! bastard!

LOLLOLLOL

i was trying to emulate the bikes some of the very old-school mtbers used way back when! tomac used to race downhill with something like that, except his probably had gears. hog described my bike as a "cyclocross bike on 'roids"LOL, but i like your one. holy hybrid it is!Big%20smile

I think Tomac was in control of his whatever you call that thing . HR on the other hand was more in the dirt lying on his back than on the bike !

i did too have control. you have to pull off one and a half somersaults with pic. it was later when i crashed behind that there was no control!

The whole of last week Groenies (well more fountains side) was a mess!!!

Went there early today, met a guy that had not been around the track yet so we rode together around groenies and chatted a lekker duk stuk. The weather was absolutely amazing!!! I always have a lekker laugh when  its peoples first time there and I take them on the single track next to R21 with big bump and then around the corner the mud hole, haha he splashed a big one there!!!

After lap 1 the guy was a bit bummed but he absolutely loved it, there I realized again how much fun it is showing people new places to ride!!

Then went for a lekker fast lap and back home!!! What a great morning on a lekker chilaxed day!!!!
