Canyon Ultimate CF creaking noise....

After having an engineer/maintenance guy have a look at the bike, he said it was the pedals fault for the creaking noise. So I got a new pair of pedals (Must admit I wanted some cool new ones anyhow), but on my ride this afternoon (50km) the creaking noise was back. It seems that when I do a smooth pedal stroke, without putting proper power through the pedals, no creaking noise appears. Only when I put proper power through the pedals that the creaking noise comes, both standing and sitting and it seems on most chain-rings and also on the rear bracket now.

The frame looks fine, I can't see any tears in the carbon or hairline fractures.

I m close to throwing the bike of a balcony, and I don't live on a floor where the bike would survive the fall.

The bike got fully serviced by two different engineers, they took the whole bike apart, yet still creaking noise!

I had a creak under similar conditions, and it was the cleat/pedal interface. Now that you have new pedals, try new cleats, and keep very clean!

I also have a Canyon Ultimate CF and also had an annoying creak which I swore came from the BB.  Every time I put some effort into a pedal stroke it creaked.  Took it back to my LBS and the mechanic was quite offended that I said his build was not good enough!

He regreased the pedals' date=' as that was the only bit I installed myself, but the bike still squeeked.  In the end I realised my rearwheel wasn't properly fastened and after retightening the skewers the squeek disappeared!  The dropouts have a paint layer or something on them and you have to make sure the skewers are properly tightened and in place.  Hopefully this is your problem too.  I haven't had a sound from it since!

had the exact experience as above.try re tightening your skewers and see.

gone try pedal/cleat thing and try using talcum powder, and also tighten up the skewers. And gone take it for a spin a minute.

After re-tightening the skewers and I mean they are tight now, and cleaning the cleats and pedals and then putting talcum powder on them; results are in.

After taking it for a spin up and down the road, trying to put all my weight into the pedals and accelerating, it seems creaking noise is gone. Of course as retarded I am, I did all suggestions at once, without testing in between to see if it was the skewers or the pedals with the talcum powder. But this will be seen properly when taking it for another morning ride tomorrow morning! If
