That probably explains why bikes are so popular as they just make it so much easier and quicker to get around in the narrow twisty lanes. Plus parking in Amsterdam is extremely expensive and the traffic jams horrendous. Imagine what it would be like if the 40% cyclists also got in their cars!I usually take the train and then get a rental bike at the station. Something like 2 Euros a day. Bargain.
