Greetings

I have a pair these wheels but have a problem that keeps happening.  The rear wheel keeps getting sideways play in it.  I have had it tighened a few times now but it keeps happening within a ride.  What should I do and who should I take it too?

Thanks

Paul

Ive got exactly the same problem. It drives me crazy. After eveytime I ride I have to "re-tighten" the wheel. Granted it has got the adjustment ring to this but why it works itself loose I have no Idea.

I have tried making the skewer adjustment really tight.

Glad Im not alone - hahahaha!

Many wheels with cartridge bearings suffer from this problem and it smacks of poor design. These wheels don't have a locknut to lock the pre-load in position and rely on friction and good luck. Usually neither is available.

I suggest you put a bit of loctite on the thread and semi-lock it in place like that.

Making the skewer tight isn't really the solution, that just locks it in place when the wheel is in the bike. Each time you remove the wheel, the setting changes. That's where the Loctite may help.

If you are absolutely convinced that it happens during a ride, then there is another problem. The bearing is possibly faulty and turns where it is not supposed to turn. Have someone disassemble the hub and have a look for you.
