They can, but the sidewals are quite porous compared to other non-ust tyres, so a bit more sealant (something fluid like stans, thicker ones will struggle) is needed and it takes some time for them to seal properly, so expect to be topping up the pressure as bit for the first few rides. 

Unsure of how the bead is, depends on weight and rim I guess, stans rims should not be an issue

Have been riding Supersonic Mountain Kings for the last year on my ZTR Olympic rims, Like WW says they take a little bit more effort to seal them but well worth it. Also look where you ride!
