I have raced mine for 2 years now, rear hub still spins smoothly, front has had its bearings changed once. fairly lightweight, look good too, also quite strong. have put my deraileur into the spokes once in a fall, slight kink in spokes but still going strong. If the cones are over tightened, left a little too loose, or dirt gets in... then pitting occurs on the inner hubs surface (on which the balls run). The solution entails new wheel set!
