Interestingly enough the general public's response was rather positive and encouraging.

Just received word that the TV crews will be riding through the crowds/riders on Sunday so if you are able to pin the poster on both the front of your jersey and near (Above/Below) your race number you might well be able to catch the camera's eye and thereby generate some publicity RE the call for cycle safety on the roads.

I bought one of these bright green tops at Builders Warehouse a few months ago (the one's construction workers wear) & had something similar to this printed on the back in large black letters -

 

That's what I ride with - including lights etc ... either stop riding on the road & do MTBiking or just do it on the Indoor Trainer. !!!

I think the problem is that most of the Hubbers are in Cape Town already and not many has Internet access.
