On my old frame I used a Deda Dog Fang chain guide for piece of mind. On my new frame there is no space so I'm looking for one of these AceCo K-Edge guides. I have never seen them in the shops and it would be great if someone could make them out of CF of nylon.

This is what it looks like.

Carbon fibre? My word! It's worse than I thought.ShockedI was thinking of making something like that out of stainless wire.

I did say OR nylon. I just don't want the aluminium. I also thought about just bending some pretty stainless wire.

why not juts set you derailleur correctly, its a road bike, there's just 2 rings and you're riding on a smooth road........shouldn't have any trouble.......

...or am I missing something here?

It is set up correctly but once every 4-6 years they do pop off. I know you can just keep pedalling and it will come back on but I don't like doing that.

In the real world it doesn't always work that way. Particularly when there is a sudden kick in the bunch and you realise that you are baddly cross-chained!
