Removing fork decals

Howsit Hubbers,

 

Is it possible to remove the decals from a suspension fork?  If so, how the hell.  It seems to be under the clear coat, or sprayed on top of the clear coat.  I does not seem to be a simple sticker that can be peeled off?

 

Any help would be appreciated.

If there is a clear coat, you'll have to sand it off.

 

I used steam from a kettle and a credit card on my Reba Team to remove the stickers but as the fork came with different coloured stickers, there was no clear coat to impinge removal.
