Heart Rate monitor conductivity

Get a bottle of the stuff at a medical supply shop. They use it for ECG and Sonar examinations. Spoeg still works best.

On the PolarWearlinks I have found that you actually have to scrub the press stud connections at the transmitter belt linkup well every now and then. They seem to be really sensitive to sweat/salt buildup.

Had an interesting situation with my Garmin HRM belt recently. Stopped working but I noticed a build up of 'salt' I assume from sweat. Gave it a nice scrub with a soapy nail brush and Bob's (or whoever it may be!) your uncle!

I always just pour a bit (yes just a bit, none ever has run down to my .... nether regions!) of water on each conductor before putting it on and it works (Polar, Garmin and Timex).
