Calling all Cyclists to join the Ride of Silence.

 

 

 

To Honor those who have been injured or killed.

 

To raise awareness that we are here.

 

To ask that we all Share the Road.

 

 

 

All cyclists are asked to remain silent throughout the RIDE. To obey all Traffic regulations.

 

 

 

CAPE TOWN, SEA POINT lighthouse

 

Will be following a flat Route through Sea Point, Cape Town CBD to finish back at Mouille Point Lighthouse.

 

 

 

Date    : 22nd May Saturday.

 

Time    : 9h30 to arrive

 

Start   : 10h00 till 11h00

 

Clothing: White / Red / Black clothing to be worn.

 

Venue   : Mouille Point Lighthouse, Sea Point, Cape Town.

 

Distance: 20km

 

Speed   : Max 20km / hour

 

 

 

Note    : No Helmet / No Ride.

 

 

 

GAUTENG, ZOO LAKE

 

Meet at Zoo Lake and ride a 20km ride in total silence to pay tribute to all those in SA and around the world that lost their lives whilst cycling.

 

 

 

All Countries that are involved in The Ride of Silence.

I would have been there.? But my shift starts at nine am and runs to nine am the following morning.? I will be there in thought.

 

 

 

Please keep ALL the Families in your thoughts, that have lost a Loved one. The list is too long and do not want to favor anyone.

Thanks for the info, Frail. I'll be there ... and sent it to all the cyclists / triathletes / whatevers that I know (and I do know a lot of whatevers). Shoulds drum up at least another 2 riders ...

Hey David, haven't seen you around for a while. If you want to make the Zoo Lake rendevous in time you'd better start riding from Cape Town today Wink  Ok ok .. just kidding .. see you on Sat. CCC is riding there from Edgemead.

This will be the hard part for many: riding through Seapoint without talking on a cellphone, actually obeying traffic signs, and going right past Vida without taking a 2.5 hour break with a latte and sugar-coated blueberry muffin.
