Tumbleweed Posted August 8, 2007 Share what you got against mice? I'm just concerned when they train intelligently! Sounds like Pinky and the Brain all over again!!! On the subject of rats and mice' date=' dying to see Ratatouille![/quote'] you've mentioned your earphone-eating cat here before, so here's a word of caution: Overweight cats who spend more time sleeping on the sofa than chasing mice face a growing risk of developing diabetes, researchers in Scotland said on Tuesday. Pampered fat cats are three times more likely to develop the potentially fatal condition than cats of a normal weight, according to a study by the University of Edinburgh. "The lifestyle of cats, just like their owners, is changing," said Professor Danielle Gunn-Moore, from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. "They are tending to eat too much, gain weight and take less exercise."
MichH Posted August 8, 2007 Share Thankfully HR, my cats definitely still chase mice. Although I have to admit that they haven't presented me with the entrails of a mouse (usually only on the light coloured deep pile carpet!) in quite a while. Worst was when Lucy sliced a mouse open, which promptly ran into the inner workings of a built in cupboard, as we were leaving for the weekend! Nothing we could do but leave be, and B had to retrieve it on our return. Amazing that it didn't stink more! OK, now that I've hijacked your thread and put me off my own lunch, I'll go! Tumbleweed Posted August 8, 2007 Share what were you going to have for lunch?
MichH Posted August 8, 2007 Share Ham and mayo on woolworths seed rolls. Luckily I have an iron stomach so managed to put all thoughts of mice out of my mind and eat regardless. What did you have for lunch?!
Tumbleweed Posted August 8, 2007 Share sounds more like brekkie: two naartjies, two bananas. two little tubs of yoghurt. protein bar and shake. cheese and ham sarmie on rye. then nadine - one of the girls in the office who feels urged to mother me - gave me the half of her pineapple and granadilla salad she couldn't finish. boeing Posted August 8, 2007 Share Going back to the article...its not exactly ground breaking research that! Train in your target zones! Thats why you need to build a base! Except its when you need to perform consistently that it becomes an issue! Drugs still play their part! Its very naive to interpret the article like that!
