Shimano disc brake levers+Tektro calipers

My Tektro brake lever on the right side is now loose and rattles around over the bumps, I can't seem to find any Tektro levers sold on their own but am looking at this Shimano lever:

Would it work to use this lever on the Tektro brake system? I don't want to have to buy a whole new system because of one small bushing!

They could very well work.

 

They both use Mineral oil and have a similar design.

 

(I have heard that Tektro makes brakes for other companies and could possibly make their own brakes with the Shimano design under licence)

I don't think so, piston size would make a difference. A reservoir is exactly that, a reservoir. I reckon go for it, it cheap enough that if it doesn't work then you can donate/sell it to someone else.

 

Where you based? If you do put an order through to CRC, I might want to order some stuff from there to.

Hi, unfortunelty I am in Magalies (Gauteng). But thanks for your help, I will give it a go. Its ironic that I can find parts for my 20 year old motorbike but not my 6 month old bicycle!
