thanks. I will consider the options. However, consider that conventional lights cost over R2000 for such power and endurance, I can recommend further investigation, especially for those that are not in the light yet. (unfortunately I actually only want an LED downlight to replace the halogen one I am presently experiementing with)

I see that the light source is only a 1w LED

 

I currently have 4 x 1W Luxeon's on my recently built light.

 

Don't know about the lumens though.
