Thanks guys,

Some good advice!

Still confused though.

 

Feeling like I sould just stick to the hardtail as it has always served me well.

Never struggled on downhills either.

 

I just dont see the big advantage of a full suspencion. :huh:

light(below 10.2kg), comfort and price

 

you can pick two of the above

 

light and comfort : take a light dual sus

comfort and price : take a dual

light and price : take a hard tail

Go ride one and you'll know why. Get hold of Graeme (he's the importer of Commencal), he'll arrange a bike for you that you can use for an entire morning - at least he did that for me a year or two ago. Then decide!

IF you like technical fast downhills then dual is the option

hard-tail is slower on downhill and less fun

 

for me I choose dual won't even consider hard-tail
